Enhanced Visualization of Volume

چکیده

The eeective analysis of three-dimensional biomedical images has application in a wide variety of medical applications , ranging from the analysis of unborn foetuses for heart defects to the facial reconstruction of murder victims. However, currently employed feedback techniques concerning analysis of three-dimensional image structures are themselves presented in the visual domain. This paper presents an overview of a research project in which information is presented in the aural domain as a compliment to the visualization process. Spatial audio or stereo audio techniques are employed for the task. The system implementation has been based around a number of established public domain software elements, including the Xforms graphical user interface software, the Bob visualization package, and the Csound audio control language system.
